Since meeting Marion Cadwell Managing Director of WHD Ltd, the sole distributors in UK & Ireland of Provence Cosmetics at a trade event, I was fascinated by this new treatment, and when I heard the treatment was being offered locally in Northern Ireland I was delighted to give it a try and booked myself in with Maria Joyce, at her clinic in Armagh.

Bioslimming works by burning Fat, reducing Cellulite and Enhancing Weight loss.

My main concern was it safe, but was interested to find out Does It Work?

I had the misconception of losing weight, when in fact the treatment is based on fat reduction or inch loss, so no weighing scales needed. Weight loss can be achieved with this treatment but as it is not an instant weight loss the client is not weighed. The treatment primarily Burns and Reduces Fat, Reduces Cellulite and results in Inch Loss. Weight loss can be noticed the day after the treatment but is usually noticed at some point during a course of treatments

Like most men attending skin clinics or beauty salons, is something I would not really have contemplated, so here was the first challenge to overcome.I arranged my appointment with Maria a few weeks in advance and was well briefed on anything I would need to bring, such as suitable clothing, which I was advised to bring a change of top.

I arrived at the clinic for my appointment, and as the Maria Joyce Clinic was easy to find and with car parking not far, I arrived for my appointment fully relaxed.

I found the clinic to be modern and a relaxing environment and Maria was very welcoming and professional explaining the treatment process and how the ingredients were safe. I was then given a consultation for any contra-indications as this treatment wasn’t suitable for anyone with high blood pressure or heart complaint.

I was also measured using a number of different measurements around my waist and stomach area.

The treatment took approx 1 hr 15 mins, as this was a one-off but regular treatments can be shorter I believe 1 hour.

Stage 1 was a heat treatment which involved the application of 3 different products – Detox Base, Active Slim Gel and Active Slim Cream, each of these products has a specific function but when used in conjunction produce a synergetic effect which increases the benefits and effects of the active ingredients. These were applied using a massage technique on my stomach and back, which was followed with a layer of biofilm wrapped around the stomach and back. I was then left for 40 minutes in a private treatment room which was very pleasant and chilled out with soft tranquil music playing..I experienced a “warming effect and tingling experience”, but before I know it, it was off with the biofilm.

This was followed by the application of Ultra slim effect – cold gel which was applied to both back and stomach using a massage technique, but no biofilm film this time. This had a cooling effect and again lasted about 20 mins.

I was then measured, and was delighted to find I had lost 8cm of fat from my stomach and back areas using a number of different measurements as had been done prior to my treatment.

I was offered a glass of water and advised to drink plenty of water and not to shower as the product continued to work for a further 12 hours.

I found the whole experience a pleasant one, Maria was very professional and knowlegeable and found the Maria Joyce Clinic ambience and privacy were just what I was after. The day after I noticed a difference in my stomach area with a significant reduction in fat.

I would definitely recommend this treatment for those looking to shift stubborn areas of fat deposits/ cellulite, and would most definitely go back for further treatments, which priced at £59, I thought was good value for money and I think this is one treatment men would also be very interested in.

I was also told there was a home treatment pack available called Bioslimming Trio and costs £99 which was of interest which was less expensive and may be more convenient for some.
